PM Modi to inaugurate Atal tunnel connecting Manali with Leh by September end
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to inaugurate the newly built Atal Tunnel connecting Manali with Leh by the end of September this year, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said.Earlier known as Rohtang tunnel, this strategic Atal Tunnel is constructed at an altitude above 10,000 feet with an outlay of Rs 3,500 crore."The Prime Minister wants to inaugurate the tunnel by the end of next month (September). He will visit the spot physically instead of virtually attending the event. This tunnel is going to be very significant.
