The Ambassador of India to Nepal, Vinay M Kwatra has handed over 2,000 vials of Remdesivir to Nepal Foreign Affairs Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali in meeting challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic."Ambassador Vinay M. 1.77 lakh tourists visited Nepal in 8 months of 2020, Indians top list

According to Nepal’s Department of Immigration (DOI), as many as 1,77,675 foreign tourists visited the country in the first eight months of 2020 and among them, Indian travelers topped the list despite the lockdown imposed in Nepal to curb the COVID-19 infection.In early January, a total of 16,800 Indians visited Nepal, 16,558 in February, 6,793 in March, two in April, seven in May, 26 in June, 41 in July and 23 in August, the DoI data said.In January, 65,983 tourists had visited the Himalayan nation while the figures soared to 77,064 in February. Pakistan High Commission in India said a batch of 74 Pakistani nationals who were stranded in India due to coronavirus pandemic returned to Pakistan through Attari Wagah border on September 10."Today, another 74 Pakistanis, who were stranded in different Indian cities due to COVID-19 pandemic, were repatriated to Pakistan via Attari-Wagah border," the high commission said in a statement.Since March 20, more than 760 stranded Pakistanis have returned home.Pakistan High Commission said it will continue to extend all possible assistance to the remaining stranded Pakistanis in India for their earliest, safe and smooth repatriation.
