Need to develop, promote children’s literature in mother-tongue: Kashmiri scholar

At a book release function organized by the University of Kashmir, renowned Kashmiri scholar and writer Prof Shafi Shauq said that developing genuine children’s literature in their mother-tongue is one of the important ways to promote the language and help youngsters to stay rooted to their culture.However, Prof Shauq cautioned that objectivity and description must not be compromised while creating such literature.Two books titled ‘Achre Moth’—a collection of critical essays—and ‘Jiger Khante’—a collection of rhymes and poems for children—were released on the occasion. A cybersecurity think tank has claimed that Chinese hackers from Guangdong and Henan provinces targeted online shoppers during the festive months of October and November, the peak sale season in India.According to CyberPeace Foundation, these hackers created fake URLs disguised as offers by Flipkart and Amazon and lured the netizens to click on them with bogus prizes.
